Building an MTG waifu Commander deck

I’m interested in putting together an MTG waifu Commander deck with a consistent artwork theme rather than using standard card appearances. ProxyWaifus has ready-made Commander decks and separate upgrade sets, which seems useful if someone wants to start with a complete deck and customize it later. They also sell individual cards. Has anyone here built a themed Commander deck around artwork rather than mechanics first? What commander would you choose?
