Anime Artwork on Magic Cards- Good Idea or Too Much?

Anime-inspired artwork on Magic cards seems to have become an interesting niche within the proxy community. Personally, I think it can make a deck feel much more personal, especially when the artwork matches the commander or strategy. But I'm curious where other players draw the line between a cool themed deck and artwork that becomes distracting during gameplay.
