TSA requires that your name match the name on your government-issued ID. Delta Airlines will reject your boarding request if the legal name does not match the name on your boarding ticket. Delta Airlines name and date change policy allows you to modify your name or date as needed. The airline does not allow you to change your whole name after booking; however, you can correct misspelt words up to three letters without incurring additional fees.
